Welcome to Prem Ergo Solutions

Prem Ergo Solutions is a venture that focuses on the man at work; on providing holistic solutions to patients with musculoskeletal pain, related to bad posture or the workstation. In other words, we work so that you can……

Many industrial operations are carried out in awkward postures, with repetitive motions, causing various musculo-skeletal disorders, like low back pain and neck pain among workers. These disorders are multifactorial, and coupled with poor health, cause a high incidence of absenteeism and loss of productivity.

Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) are injuries and disorders of the muscles, nerves, tendons, ligaments, joints, cartilage, and spinal discs. Other synonyms include Cumulative Trauma Disorder (CTD), Repetitive Stress Injury (RSI), and Repetitive Motion Injury (RMI).

This scenario is not unique to the manufacturing industry. In the last few decades, hundreds of thousands of otherwise healthy computer users have developed painful conditions classified under Repetitive Strain Injuries [RSI]. For computer users this is called Computer related injuries [CRI's]. CRI refers to work-related symptoms in computer users caused by incessant work in a static posture, with highly repetitive actions, such as typing on a keyboard. It is a diffuse disorder of soft tissues of the body, like muscles and ligaments.

RSI’s refers to a constellation of work-related symptoms caused by incessant work in a static posture, with highly repetitive actions. It is a diffuse disorder of muscle, fascia, tendon and/or neurovascular structures.

How common is the problem?

It is estimated that 75 to 80 percent of all workers suffer from some work related injury of which back pain is most common. The incidence varies from industry to industry and type of work.

About Us

PES made a beginning in the year 1998, when Dr. Sunder took the responsibility of designing the seating systems for the "National Institute of Oceanography" in its new premises near Velachery.

In September 2003, PES was commissioned to evaluate workstations and chairs by "I-flex Solutions Limited", one of the leading software companies in India for its new facility at Bangalore. The products of over a dozen vendors were assessed and a comprehensive report prepared.
